More About Myles
I am a landscape painter based in Brattleboro, Vermont, where I’ve lived for the past 38 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in painting from the Portland School of Art in Portland, Maine in 1983.
In 2004, I was given a fellowship to the Vermont Studio Center by Wolf Kahn. The fellowship fostered a decades-long friendship with Wolf and artist Emily Mason.
This relationship was instrumental in shaping a broader aesthetic and studio practice.
My subject matter is inspired by the landscapes of Vermont and New Mexico, with my chosen mediums being oil, pastel, watercolor, gouache, and monoprint.
