More about Elizabeth
Originally from New York City, I have lived and painted in Northampton area since 1982.
My work, inspired by the landscape, is primarily in oil. The paintings included here are from the last two years. The main focus of many of my more recent paintings has been paintings of the moon. I work from both direct observation and also paint as a response to my own constant photographs. I don’t copy the photos as much I create a visual poem as a response to the images.
I have always been fascinated with multiple versions of a subject and make many iterations of a single view.
